How scoring works
A weather score with paws in mind.
We turn the forecast into a practical dog-walk answer, then show the factors behind it.
The main factors
Temperature, rain, wind, gusts, ice, snow and pollen all affect the score. Dangerous heat, storms and icy conditions can override an otherwise good-looking number.
Your walking surface, dog size, coat, age and planned walk length make the result more useful for the dog actually waiting by the door.
Use your judgement
Forecasts cannot see your exact route, shade or your dog's wellbeing. Treat the score as a calm, practical guide and choose the safer option when in doubt.
